he wanted her then

need her now and forever

to rob her was your his aim

rob her of her peace

rob her of joy

rob her of love

but now he needs that she knows

he worships her character

endears her efforts

wants to comfort her from the fears

that he placed within

no longer haughty to her emotions

no longer the sly player

no longer vain words of the future

he no longer enjoys the life of the deceptor

she has reached her limit

and he had somehow sensed it

she was on wings to fly

but she knew she had to stay

for he had long chosen her

but tried too hard to please

afraid of losing her

did the opposite of what she needed.

circles closed them in

until one night he saw her ill.

ill from the harsh words

ill from  mal communications

ill from the secrets ‘they’ shared

bad friends he now understands

never truly cared for his family pride

she now has horror dreams

where he does wrong deeds

she cries out in the night

he prays she would not split in the mind.
