Robbed Time

She lived in the shadows. Never afraid but quietly hurting to see how he used good will.  Never had she felt pain as poisonous as this.  She had slowly began her ascension of healing from the previous breakup they had had and began a new story but by some hidden curse she was back in his arms again.

The tension of their being together hang in silence, while the young fetus grew within her.  They both hadn’t the heart to do the abominable deed, so their bond grew.   She suffered and saw how he too suffered the fate of his lust because she had pleaded that he not touch her that day.

As time passed the burden seemed to have dissolved as they became more open with each other.  But the memory of last year nagged at her almost every day!  The open disrespect he encouraged the other woman to hold towards her.  The secret phone calls to meet, the long hours talking as if charting another plan to hurt and redicule her whom he kept shut up. Shut up of words.  Any question asked was an ‘attitude problem’.  This she couldn’t understand.  The frustrations grew.

It had seemed that all he wanted was a good wife while he played his single boy game…  But he didn’t know how much of  his character he had destroyed to her innocent love for him.  She had looked on with the silent pain of a neglected wife, yet smiled at him and helped him with the toils of their home.

Now in the way with his child, she can’t hold on much longer.  Will she break what he is now trying to hold onto? Should she run away before the baby comes?  Would he be as transparent with her as she needed him to be?  These are some of her questions to self. Only time would tell.
